Croatia Power Yacht Charters

Croatia Power Yacht Charters

The Adriatic Sea offers a superb coastline, rich history and centuries old harbours, along with a cultural mix of East meets West. The coastline from Montenegro north to Split is well suited to a power yacht cruise from the islands just offshore with unspoiled hillsides, and back to the mainland with historic cities built on the many natural sheltered harbors. Spend your evenings stepping ashore from you motor yacht tied stern to the town and wander off to the local fort, church or maybe a taverna for drinks. The Croatian people are friendly and welcome visitors that cruise their shores in a large variety of power yachts, and motor boats.

Power yachts are available in Croatia from the 70′ (22m) range up into the mega yacht category. Because yacht chartering is relatively new to Croatia, motor yachts that are based there year round tend to be high speed, or semi displacement hulls that have been built within the last few years. They often charter with a crew of two, and most guests enjoy eating out in the many local towns and use the yacht for exploring.

Mega yachts are more often spending at least part of the summer in Croatia as the harbours are unspoiled and the number of visitors relatively low, even during the height of the season. For these large yachts, anything is possible, and the crews are large with white glove service.

Prices for these yachts are in Euros and cover the yacht and crew (as is customary in the Mediterranean), with all other expenses additional. For charter guests who wish to experience local food and the very good locally produced wines and beers, this works well, as the cost is modest compared to other areas.

For those that require familiar brands while far from home, they may find that imported goods can be expensive and must be prearranged for your trip. Fuel prices will vary of course, but are not out of range of other European countries in the area.

A power yacht charter gives clients the ability to see this area outside of the prime charter months of July and August in comfort, making the fall an especially fine time to visit Croatia.
