The layout of the islands in a chain that spreads over 35 miles typically involves upwind and downwind sailing. Tradewinds are usual in the islands and provide a steady 10 to 15 mph breeze from the east year round.
Sailing catamarans, like the Lagoons, Fontaine Pajots, Voyage, Sunreefs Catanas, have grwon enormously in popularity as the are such a great platform to enjoy a Caribbean charter. Because the island are laid out close together, the sailing is protected with calmer seas than found in other parts of the Caribbean. Plenty of natural harbours bless these islands with lots of quite anchorages with beachs and reefs for snorkeling.

Charter rates are normally quoted for a 7 night week and are most often quoted inclusively per person for the week. This means that once you arrive you can sit back and relax — other than an occasional cocktail ashore when you decide to go dancing and the customary gratuity for the crew (10-15% of charter fee), you can put your wallet away.
