BAHAMAS POWER YACHT CHARTERS
The Bahamas, located off the Florida coast offers three distinct areas to cruise: The Abacos, Exumas and Turks & Caicos. The entire range of hundreds of small islands and atolls have formed over time and offer fabulous snorkeling and diving in clear blue water. How can one even begin to choose where to go amongst the cluster of exquisite island gems that scatter these vibrantly blue waters?
From mid-size motor yachts to large, luxury mega yachts, the Bahamas is host to a wide range of power yachts from November through May, which will afford you with the luxury of going exactly where you please. Additionally, due to the shallow depth found throughout the Bahamas, power yacht charters offer the best way to get right up on the beaches and reefs. On a sail yacht you must cater to the wind, however the power yacht represents freedom, and it
allows you to roam as you wish.
With the faster option of a power yacht on your charter, choice in itinerary is far more flexible. You may start off in Nassau’s metropolis and travel down the remote and rural, yet breathtaking Exumas in a week. You can make a round trip to the stunning Berry Islands, picking-up and dropping-off in Nassau. Furthermore, you have the option of boarding at West End, Grand Bahama Island and sailing to the Abacos, departing at Marsh Harbour.
As a bonus, the proximity of the islands to the United States means that you can very easily (and cheaply) fly from South Florida, on a one-hour flight into Nassau’s airport.
This is a place where the water is electric blue, the flowers a vivid and beautiful rainbow. Relish in the antiquity of the little clapboard, pastel huts of the Exumas. Enjoy the surfacing of the African cultural roots in festivals
like Junkanoo, where the people take to the streets in a frenzy of dance, music and feasting. Delight in the phenomena of the ever-present pods of whales and dolphins, as well as the humorous anomaly of the famous Swimming Pigs. Explore James Bond’s Thunderball Grotto, and visit the supposed lost city (and now four-star resort) of Atlantis. There is much to do in the hidden treasure of the Bahamian Islands. Climb aboard and prepare to be enraptured.
