Captain Steve - After coming to California in 1988 and starting several companies, Steve decided to sell everything and buy the finest sailing catamaran built in the world with every luxury and embark on a six year sailing journey that includes 18 months in the Mediterranean, 6 months in the Caribbean and another year to tour South America, specifically Columbia, Brazil, Argentina and Chile then on to the Southern Pacific, New Zealand, Australia, Singapore and eventually around to Sudan, Egypt and back up to the Med. Steve has been sailing the oceans for many years but has the philosophy of always being in warm weather wear only shorts are required. Passions for life diving, fishing, hiking, exploring, discovering new cultures and most of all great food, wine and friends!
Steve is an accomplished pilot, scuba dive master, captain, fisherman, wine lover among other things including half crazy. You are always guaranteed a good laugh!
After building from the ground up a successful insurance, financial planning business which has thrived since 1988 called Allied Financial Network, Inc, Steve decided to start a small limousine company that grew to one of the largest in the Bay Area, California before selling in 2006. But the challenge of business was accomplished and so a new challenge was necessary. A world tour seemed to make some sense and add some challenge and so off to Steve went to design the finest sailing catamaran ever built. After a 1 1/2 years of painstaking planning, designing, researching and engineering, the final product was delivered April 5, 2006. Steve left that night, sailed the Bay of Biscay to and has been touring ever since providing unbelievable experiences for friends, family and clients.
The plan is to have one unbelievable charter a month for clients lasting from 1 week to 3 weeks. Each charter will be custom designed for the guests with unique location, events, activities, etc. Current ports of call include:
Sardinia, Corsica and the French Riviera : September, '07
The Atlantic crossing starting Nov. 25, '07 from the Canary Islands arriving St. Lucia by December 15th.
Mate- Robert - Hailing from Auckland, New Zealand, Robert brings tremendous sailing experience to Caribbean Soul. From racing sailboats to skippering sailing yachts, Robert has a wide array of skills at the young age of 25. After receiving his degree in Mechanical Engineering and joining the workforce for some years, he decided it was time to take a journey for a year or so and has become a fantastic addition to the Caribbean Soul Team.
His passion is to see the world and he is now doing it in style. |
