Crew Profiles: Captain Oscar David Wollheim Age 41 South African
Oscar has always had a passion for the sea, and started sailing with his family when he was a child as a young man, he went on to competing in the world windsurfing championships. Oscar started his yachting career as chief officer on Princess Tanya, and later on Rosenkavalier and Princess Lauren. His first Captain’s position was on the busy charter yacht Princess Nina., however, with his class 4 ticket certification he subsequently accepted the position as captain on board Elisabeth F. The experience gained on both yachts provided him with an extensive knowledge of the Mediterranean and the Caribbean. Over the years Oscar has become a well respected and very experienced Charter Captain and is always pleased to welcome clients on board. On a personal note, Oscar remains a keen kite and wind surfer and is often called to duty as a sailing instructor. Oscar joined Fathom in May 2007 whilst she was still in the build programme, with the benefit of an extensive yachting career he has put together a great crew and is looking forward to cruising the seas on Fathom.
First Mate Tuomo Vauhkonen Age 27 Finnish
Tuomo joined Fathom in July 2007 after having worked on S/Y Morning Glory , the Grand Bleu and Elisabeth F. during the Captaincy of Oscar Wollheim.. The previous experience on Elisabeth F provides a good base to develop a good working team.
Prior to his yachting years Tuomo was a diving instructor for over 6 years, and is a fully accomplished fitness trainer.
Tuomo speaks English, Finnish and Swedish.

Chief Steward James Warlow Age 38 British
Prior to joining the Fathom team, James developed his career over a fifteen year period in hotel management . For the past nine years James has worked with Fathom’s owner and brings to Fathoms guests a 5 star service experience. James is also a trained Chef and Sommelier and along with his hospitality team will provide a quality discreet service to meet the expectations of Fathoms discerning of guests. James very much enjoys gourmet dining and his hobbies include collecting cook books, hiking and other outdoor sports.
2nd Stewardess TBC
Junior Stewardess Karen Engelbrecht Age 22 South African
Although this is Karen’s first experience on yachts, she has previously worked for the owner in one of their fine dining restaurants. Her bubbly personality and constant smile makes you feel at home at all times. Karen enjoys reading, fashion and swimming.
She speaks English and Afrikaans.
Bosun Simon Kenion Age 23 British / Canadian
Having grown up on the island of Mallorca, yachting and other marine activities have become second nature to Simon. Before joining Fathom, Simon trained no board the 53mt Bahkshish, he is also a fully qualified diving instructor.
Simon speaks English, Spanish and has knowledge of French
Deckhand Stacey Dart Age 18 British
Ever since her childhood Stacey has been very keen on yachting and grew up around boats. She spent her school holidays days working on yachts, gaining great deck experience. This is her fist position as deck hand.
Stacey is an outdoor lover and a very good water-skier.
She speaks English and Turkish
